Keto Apple Crumble
For the apples
3 Bramley apples, cored
1 tbs coconut oil
1 tbs chicory root syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups almond flour
1 cup almond flakes
3 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs chicory root syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Core the apples and chop into chunks. I leave the skin on for that extra bit of nutrition. In a pan, melt the coconut oil, tip in the apples and add the cinnamon. Cook for 5 minutes. While cooking, mix the almond flour with the coconut oil and the chicory syrup, add the almond flakes and the cinnamon. It will end up a crumbly texture which is exactly what you need. Place the apples into your crumble baking container, spread the crumble on the top and pop into the oven at 175 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
